Firstly, for those of you who might care, I shall apologise for the lack of any journal last week, as I was away.

Indeed last week I had the pleasure of traveling 90 miles north of where I live, to Wensleydale to attend the christening of my cousin's two children. My cousin lives in Canada so this was the first time that most of my family have seen her two children, it was certainly good to have the greater part of my family under one roof. I seem to have inherited the role of 'family photographer' from my father, which I have to say has mixed blessings, though I did get the opportunity to take a group photo, with 5 generations of my family in it which I think must be a rare event for most people.

To say the least this last week since then has been a week of many events. Firstly I finally passed my driving test, which i have been putting off for a long time now, but a first time pass is something I am certainly not going to be unhappy about, especially given the pass rate for the test in the UK (>40%). This week has also seen for me the loss of two of my housemates, with the end of the academic year (for those lucky enough to finish in June) many of my friends have now finished their courses, it's certainly good to see people moving on with their lives and getting out into the 'real world' but it does now mean that my student house (hovel) now has half as many people in it. However, this isn't going to be an on going problem, since in a couple of weeks i'll be moving into my own flat, which I am certainly looking forward too.

Anyway, that'll do for this week, I can't guarantee that i'll be writing another entry next week since i'm going home (not uni) for my Birthday.
